Marin Beyond Pesticides was just honored by the Marin American Indian Alliance for work drawing people’s attention to the need to reduce the use of pesticides. Indian basket weavers have suffered ill health and cancer due to the contamination of weaving materials with pesticides sprayed on roadsides and in wetlands.

We thank Marin American Indian Alliance for this honor and pledge to continue to spread the word that pesticides are toxic to people and the environment and are not needed.
